International students from 17 countries at Seoul National University, 「We came to learn Daedeok INNOPOLIS!」
□ Korea Innovation Foundation (President, Kang Byung-Sam) announced on the 17th that Daedeok INNOPOLIS field trip will be provided to 21 overseas government students from 17 countries as part of a regular global industry-university-linked regular course opened in cooperation with the Seoul National University Global R&DB Center (Professor, Jun-Seok Hwang). ㅇ Seoul National University's global industry-university-linked regular lecture (course name: Seminar on Emerging Technologies) is provided for 21 overseas public officials from 17 countries and is an innovative ecosystem experience program through learning about the technology commercialization process of Daedeok INNOPOLIS and field visits.
□ In this field trip, students had time to experience the innovation ecosystem of Daedeok INNOPOLIS by visiting 7 INNOPOLIS companies and innovative institutions such as KAIST, which participated as instructors, and experiencing the entrepreneurial ecosystem and start-up support program.
ㅇ International students visit the site to enhance their understanding of the 7 INNOPOLIS companies that participated in regular lectures and advise companies on matters to be aware of, such as government policies, regulations, and local channels, in case INNOPOLIS companies enter their home countries in the future.
□ Heiner Camacho, an international student who has worked in the Central Bank of Colombia visited Daedeok INNOPOLIS, said, “I was deeply impressed with the Daedeok INNOPOLIS model, which creates synergy through collaboration between research institutes and companies. We will think about ways to do it later in our country”
□ Byung-Sam Kang, president of Korea Innovation Foundation, said, “Exchange and cooperation in the global field start with getting to know each other. We will use more efforts in establishing the channel that can be utilized in entering the global market by the industry-academic association in the INNOPOLIS” he said.
