□ Jeollabuk-do Innopolis (Director See Joon-seok) held a business meeting with Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) on May 3, Fri., for exploring how to promote the research institute spin-off companies‘ exchange with Hong Kong, such as supporting their global operation.
ㅇ HKTDC is a quasi-government agency created in 1966 with the aim of reinvigorating Hong Kong’s trade. The agency promotes companies and products and annually hold 30 or so international exhibitions to help SMEs’ international operation.
□ The meeting was realized when HKTDC visited Jeollabuk-do Innopolis for the purpose of ‘promoting exchange and collaboration between Hong Kong and South Korea’. And it discussed plans to activate the Jeollabuk-do Innopolis research institute spin-offs’s global operation such as how to create a cooperation network, advance into Hong Kong and China, participate in international fairs, and organize trade missions.
□ Director Seo Joon-seok of Jeollabuk-do Innopolis said, “Looking ahead, we will do our best to provide various supports for the global operation of the Jeollabuk-do Innopolis research institute spin-offs such as pioneering their sales channels and their participation in international fairs through close work cooperation with HKTDC.”
