INNOPOLIS Foundation, To share the Development Experience of Korean Science Park with Developing Countries To hold the 19th Korean Science Park Experience Training Program |
□ INNOPOLIS Foundation (“INNOPOLIS Foundation”, Director: Yang Seong-Gwang) is to conduct the 19th Korean-Style Science Park Training with working level staffs of science park of developing countries and public officials of central and local governments of such countries (total 17 countries, 21 persons) for 2 weeks from 18th June to 29th June.
ㅇ The purpose of the Korean-style Science Park Training is to contribute to the development of science parks in developing countries through lectures on the creation and operation of science parks in Korea and visits to various technology related organizations in Daeduk INNOPOLIS..
ㅇ Since 2008, the INNOPOLIS Foundation has reinforced its global status as INNOPOLIS and continuously expanded cooperation network with emerging countries by transferring the development experience of Korean Style Science Park to 351 persons of 69 countries through total 18 times of training.
ㅇ In this 19th training, participant-led sessions such as presentation of science parks by participating countries and group discussions will be organized and active discussions will be held among participants on concrete measures to apply the implications obtained from the experience of Korean Style Science Park to the developing countries.
□ It is expected that the participants will also be able to establish a future-oriented cooperation network with INNOPOLIS's excellent research institutes and technology-based enterprises through this training.
ㅇ Rodrigo Mendes, director of the São José dos Campos Science Park in Brazil, who is participating in the 19th training, said, "The Training of Korean Style Science Park is a valuable opportunity to meet innovative entrepreneurs and researchers in special regions“ and added, ”We would like to lead active cooperation between the members of INNOPOLIS and those of Brazilian Science Park when I come back to Brasil after the training“
