□In
connection with transfer of K-STP(Korea-Science Technology Park) and mutual
support of global technology commercialization, MSIP (Minister, Choi, Yang Hee)
clarified that it had signed MOU with CONCYTEC (Peru Science, Technology
Council).
*INNOPOLIS that is K-STP was designated as INNOPOLIS Daedeok in 2005 in order to foster research- based Daedeok research complex as knowledge-based economy innovation cluster. At present, together with INNOPOLIS Daedeok, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju are designated and operated.
ㅇ In order to implement substantial business, MSIP promoted MOU (FONDECYT) between INNOPOLIS Foundation (President, Kim, Cha Dong) and National Science, Technological Innovation Development Foundation at the same time.

Technologial Innovation): Contributing to sustainable national development by
leading science, technology and innovation of Peru
*** FONDECYT(National Fund for Scientific Technological
Development): Contributing to research project as an institution that fosters
and supports basic science technology research of Peru □ Main contents of
business agreement includes development, operation and management of science,
technology park, sharing professional manpower (biotechnology, new material,
environment technology, ICT etc.), business matching and activation of
corporate exchange. □ MOU was promoted as Fernando Rojas Samanez, deputy
minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Peru visited Korea on June, 2014 in
order to benchmark INNOPOLIS Daedeok
that is a typical success model of creative economy.
ㅇ On September, last year, Angel Neyra, vice chairman of science, technological innovation standing committee visited INNOPOLIS Foundation and requested for creation of local science park model in Peru (Project: ICT Corridor) and cooperation relevant to governmental policy and,
ㅇ Additionally, Maria Fernandez, Chairwoman of Peru CONCYTEC, visited MSIP on September 25, last year and requested for extensive cooperation of MSIP for feasibility study of science park including dispatch of experts.
□ MSIP promoted MOU this time by sympathizing with
necessity of cooperation through sustained reciprocal exchange including
support of participation in K-STP and consulting project for ICT Corridor
creation by senior officers of Peru science, technology council.
* K-STP Education: INNOPOLIS Foundation is conducting short-term
invitational education, training by targeting high policy makers relevant to
science park of developing countries. □ K-STP has been settled down as a benchmarking model of
many countries including developing countries that wish to learn experience of
Korea that achieved economic, social growth and development in short time. MSIP
had already progressed K-STP related consulting service to Ecuador, Kazakhstan
and Kuwait. ㅇ Through cooperation with Peru this time, MSIP will strengthen sustained cooperative relation so that economic innovation model could be transferred and through this, economic, social foundation would be provided.
ㅇ In addition, through national development support for developing countries and enhancement of Korean type innovation cluster awareness by sharing science, technology-based economic development experience of Korea, MSIP will capitalize on such efforts as an opportunity of creating business with South American enterprises and public research institutions.
